nVent Manager, Engineering Project Management in Solon, Ohio

Our Electrical Connections Engineering team has the need for a manager of project management to lead a team of project managers responsible for new product development, digital and sustaining projects.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE:
Own processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining, and digital projects across all brands
Lead multi-functional training and continuous process improvements to drive growth and efficiency
Ensure that standard processes are implemented and adhered to, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Lead a team of technical project managers responsible for high-complexity and high-priority NPI projects.
Oversee the defining of project requirements, schedules and developing of technical plans to ensure project teams can deliver on our commitments.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, product management, supply, and others, to ensure successful project deliver
Take ownership of completing sprint ceremonies, including sprint strategy, planning, standups, and kickoffs, to ensure alignment between stakeholders and project teams on the direction and goals
Provide regular status updates on top projects to the leadership team, ensuring they have clear visibility into the progress and potential risk of each project
Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may arise. Escalate issues and roadblocks to stakeholders and management as needed.
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to identify and implement process improvements
YOU HAVE:
Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field
Ideally 5+ years of experience in project management, with 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of hybrid project management methodologies, including agile and waterfall principles.
Proficiency in Jira® project management software and tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong technical capability, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.
Preferred:
Experience in leading new product development projects.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
Experience in leading new product development projects through the NPI process
