Aerotek Maintenance Technician in Solon, Ohio

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Shift: 3rd Pay: $35

Job Description

We are seeking two dedicated Direct Hire Maintenance Technicians for a union company. This role involves maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, with responsibilities evenly split between mechanical and electrical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair industrial equipment such as printing presses, folding machines, gluing machines, and cutting machines.

  • Assist in the installation of new machinery.

  • Follow a preventative maintenance schedule.

  • Utilize an SAP system to manage maintenance work orders and documentation.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on equipment including motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, circuits, sensors, VFDs, and conveyor systems.

  • Read blueprints, schematics, and operating manuals/manufacturer instructions.

  • Use precision measuring instruments.

  • Weld, fabricate, and repair parts.

  • Test the performance of electrical assemblies using instruments such as oscilloscopes and electronic multi-meters.

  • Conduct basic facilities maintenance as needed, outsourcing HVAC/plumbing work.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Siemens).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with AC/DC, automation, electrical maintenance, welding, preventive maintenance, ladder logic, maintenance repair, and 3-phase electrical systems.

  • Ability to troubleshoot schematics, repair industrial equipment, and handle 480V/3-Phase systems.

Work Environment

Work shifts are from 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am, following a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off, with the possibility of 2-4 OT days per month. Initial training will be on the first shift from 7 am to 3 pm for a few days. The work environment includes a locker room for both men and women, and a dedicated maintenance team. Union membership (USW Union) is required, with dues at 1.5% of the paycheck.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.78 - $35.78/hr.
