nVent IT Security Analyst in Solon, Ohio

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Conduct thorough analyses of the company’s vulnerability datasets. Provide actionable recommendations on best practices and remediation steps to product and application owners.

  • Employ a risk-based methodology to prioritize remediations, focusing on actions with the most significant impact on the company’s security posture.

  • Offer technical expertise to various groups regarding vulnerabilities and suggest clear remediation paths.

  • Partner with business contacts to ensure prompt and effective remediation of vulnerabilities.

  • Create and deploy countermeasures to shield the company from systems at risk, both independently and in collaboration with other teams.

  • Evaluate security designs for new digital solutions, ensuring cybersecurity standards are met in collaboration with key project stakeholders.

  • Lead or contribute to the development and testing of Proof-of-Concept setups for introducing new services and solutions to the company.

  • Engage in security incident response activities, providing critical support during security events.

  • Perform technical reviews of penetration testing findings and coordinate the remediation process for the enterprise infrastructure.

  • Take part in security audits and collaborate with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance and enhance the cybersecurity program.

  • Implement and maintain security analytics, reporting, and metrics (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of the cybersecurity program.

  • Assist in the development and execution of strategic cybersecurity roadmaps, aligning with the company’s long-term security objectives.

YOU HAVE:

TECHNICAL SKILLSETS:

  • Advanced understanding of vulnerabilities management in an enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated ability in threat modeling, data flow diagramming, and architecture risk analysis.

  • Experience with incident detection, response, and remediation.

  • Proficiency in the deployment, implementation, and management of enterprise security solutions.

  • Expertise in monitoring, alerting, and logging.

  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in a manufacturing environment.

  • Solid experience in security technologies and designs.

  • General knowledge of applications and networks.

  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python) and configuring APIs between platforms.

  • Solid understanding of information security risk, frameworks, and architecture standards.

  • Ability to work with users to recommend ideal security designs to meet requirements.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Ideally 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 1 year focused on vulnerability management.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATIONS:

Security certifications such as Cisco Security, ISC2, AWS Security or Azure Security are a plus.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS:

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate data clearly.

  • Strong project & priority management; experience with agile frameworks is beneficial.

  • Motivated self-starter who can work effectively on a team or independently.

  • Ownership of assigned tasks.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Continuous learning and staying ahead of on technology trends through independent research.
