We are making every move count
We, at Kalmar, are looking for anAccountantwho will be responsible for supporting selected processes and countries. This includes accounting for and coordinating the month-end general ledger close, as well as preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
The Accountant will serve as the primary point of contact for selected partners and/or processes. Depending on the complexity and scale of the company, the Accountant may be part of a small team with shared responsibilities or individually responsible for the entire company. The Accountant will have an end-to-end view of the accounting process and financial statements, as there is no segregation in the process.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Accounting of daily operations and end-to-end accounting processes control
Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and quality of financial information.
Communicate daily with local business partners.
Deliver services in line with agreed controls and procedures.
Review, follow up, and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, identify unusual events, and work with the Supervisor to resolve issues.
Participate in transition activities.
Support external/internal auditors and Global Process Owners.
What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a professional who is a strong team player, has a problem-solving attitude, demonstrates analytical skills, and possesses excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. The ideal candidate will take initiative proactively to improve both their own and the team's work practices, and have an international mindset.
Ideally you have:
University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
2-4 years of relevant experience in finance operations.
Experience with simple to complex query handling.
Good MS-office skills and ERP knowledge are required.
Process knowledge on Record to Report.
Proficiency of written and spoken English.
