As a Service Mechanic on our growing team, you are contributing to the success of the company by providing top-level quality service by performing maintenance on existing trucks and trailers while also contributing to the finalization of new truck bodies for our customers. Duties/Responsibilities:

- - Collaborates with manager, lead, regarding new installs per spec and custom modifications that will be required.

- - Performs routine servicing and repairing of diesel trucks or trailers.

- - Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear.

- - Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems. - - Including but not limited to: drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, brake, steering, hydraulics, making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

- - Perform repair and customization work as assigned. including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting, and repair.

- - Provide after-sale services, such as component installation.

- - Occasional semi-trailer maintenance /repairs.

- - Inspect the overall condition of Truck and Trailer to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.

- - Compile inspection reports detailing their findings.

- - Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.

- - Ensure the final work product meets quality standards.

- - Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers.

- - Performs new body installations as needed.

- - Ensure you are working in a safe and prudent manner.

- - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

- - Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required.

- - 2+ years of heavy truck mechanical experience or related field.
