Job Title: Logistics Specialist

Job Description

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for receiving, verifying, documenting, and managing inventory of parts and systems used in the repair and maintenance of commercial aircraft components. This role involves the use of ERP systems for inventory management and generating shipping labels for both domestic and international shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Receive shipments, unbox, verify, and document parts.

  • Enter part codes into the inventory system and manage inventory updates.

  • Receive packet requests from shops, pick, pack, and deliver items on carts.

  • Ensure accuracy of documentation, including matching 8130 forms and creating packing slips and shipping labels.

  • Perform monthly cycle counts and maintain warehouse organization.

  • Handle larger units using a forklift and ensure proper storage of containers.

  • Generate domestic and international shipping labels using shipping logins.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in shipping and receiving using computer-based ERP systems.

  • Good attendance and reliability.

  • Eligibility for FAA Safety Sensitive roles (10 panel UA), with no prior DOT violations.

  • Ability to read detailed part numbers, instructions, and inventories in English.

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience (Crown forklift preferred).

  • Experience in aerospace/aviation repair or production/manufacturing environments.

Work Environment

The company was formed in 1993 as an FAA certified repair station specializing in flight deck transparencies. Since then, it has expanded to include galley inserts, lavatory components, oxygen systems, and various accessory products. The work environment is deliberate and detailed, yet fast-paced, handling approximately 17,000 orders per year. The schedule is Monday-Thursday plus Friday, with an early start time of 0530 or 0600. Attendance is crucial, as missing time can impact the team's production schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of Snohomish, Washington.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00
