Electrical Estimator
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 Total Compensation
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in the Atlanta area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse commercial projects including multi-family apartment complexes, hotels, schools, and other commercial buildings in project values up to $8-10 million. Industrial experience is a plus, or a willingness to learn industrial estimating is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of two junior estimators, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors in the Atlanta metro area.
Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Stay current with industry trends, materials, and methodologies to ensure competitive and accurate estimating.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in bid reviews and negotiations.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with a strong background in commercial projects.
Experience with multi-family, hotels, schools, and other large-scale commercial projects.
Familiarity with project values up to $8-10 million.
Connections with general contractors in the Atlanta metro area.
Industrial estimating experience is a bonus, but not required.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred, but not required.
