Amergis Foster Care Supervisor in Smithfield, North Carolina

The Foster Care Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and management of foster care services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality care and support to foster children and families, adhering to all relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of foster care social workers.

Develop and implement care plans for foster children.

Conduct regular assessments and reviews of foster placements.

Provide training and professional development for staff.

Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate services.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or

Bachelor’s degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

In-depth knowledge of foster care regulations and best practices.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and families.
