V2X Assistant Chief of Training (Firehouse) in Slupsk, Poland

S erve s as an Assistant Chief of Training in charge of the man a gement and control of a shift , supervising firefighters in fire - g r ound situations as well as the performance , care , maintenance of appar a tus and equipment. Oversees the implem e ntation of the training program inc c ud ing the annual training plan and firefighter certfi i cation .

Responsibilities

  • Works as a team to ensure effective and efficient operation of Fire and Emergency Services in accordance with the performance work statement (PWS) and OPNAV Instruction 11320.23G .

  • Implements operational policy, procedures and develops contingency plans.

  • Ensures completion of required reports, inspections , plans and documentation as outlined in the performance work statement.

  • Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, and working as a team to p ro vi de guidance to firefighters and support personnel.

  • Responsible for following a comprehensive quality and safety program in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA and United States Navy requirements.

  • Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program in accordance with DODI and OPNAV requirements . Ensures all training is documented in the system of record.

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.

  • Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

  • Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:

    Personal computer, printers, calculator, copy machines, scanners, FAX machines, phones, and other general office equipment. Operates non-tactical vehicles as required. Operates specialized fire vehicles/equipment. . May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions that require wear of hard hats, gloves, steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses and other personal protection equipment (PPE); may be required to push, pull and lift heavy equipment. Use of portable or vehicle equipped radios to maintain contact and accountability of work activities.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Work will be indoors and outdoors . Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

    Physical requirements include lifting up to 35lb, team lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, extended sitting, or standing, stooping, stretching, and bending. Occasional climbing and working in high places may be required

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications : One - year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required .

Must posess a h igh school diploma or equivalent.

Must possess DoD/IFSAC/PROBOARD certif i c at ion as Fire Officer I V , F ire Instructor I II , Fire Inspector I I , and Haz M at I ncident Commander , NREMT.

Must possess NIMS 100, 200, 300 , 400 , 700, and 800 cert ification.

Must possess a current National Registry Emergency Medical Technician certfication.

Must possess a current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

A college degree in fire safety related field is preferred. Must pass and maintain entry-level physical examination in accordance with NFPA 1582 Must have a current, valid U.S. Passport and Driver’s License (able to drive manual transmission). Must be eligible or possess a valid Tier 3 SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment. Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements including p sy chological , medical, dental, drug testing and background checks.

Clearance required ; Secret Security clearance

Experience : Shall have five years of fire - fighting and prevention experience and m anaging a team which responds to all types of emergencies.

Skills : Must be proficient with Micr o s o ft programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point

Fluent in English with good verbal, reading, and writing skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems .

Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements

Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
