Job Title: Principal Engineer, Automotive ManufacturerJob Location: Sleepy Hollow, NYDuties: Directing a team of engineers from an initial vehicle idea through development, testing, and into production for U.S. and potential global production for a low volume manufacturer. Coordinating with different engineering groups, technical partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and stakeholders to develop engineering processes for a new manufacturer and ensure successful project completion. Develop and implement engineering solutions. Lead and manage technical projects from conception to completion. Oversee and manage the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the engineering team. Analyze engineering challenges and develop solutions. Monitor and assess the performance of the engineering team. Research and recommend new technologies, processes, and procedures. Create and manage testing plans, engineering root cause analysis and problem solving, engineering change requests and notification processes, production validation, and release processes for all the key systems on our vehicles. 20% travel to client sites within the U.S.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 2 years experience in job or as Automotive Manufacturer Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, or related occupation. 2 years concurrent experience in product development, validation, and production.Special Skills: 2 years of concurrent experience in Nastran-based FDynam, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, Modefrontier, and Python.Salary: $175,000 per yearSend resume to: Jesse Glickenhaus, SCG, 8 Kendall Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591
