Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Associate Director, Business Analytics in Sleepy Hollow, New York

Known for its scientific and operational excellence, Regeneron is a leading science-based biopharmaceutical company based in Tarrytown, New York that discovers, invents, develops, manufactures, and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. Regeneron commercializes medicines for high LDL cholesterol, eye diseases, oncology, atopic dermatitis, asthma, and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including pain, rare diseases, and infectious diseases.

We are seeking an Associate Director, Business Analytics. This role will support Cardiovascular Business Unit through the application of end-to-end analyses and insights, and the application of analytical expertise to drive strategic choices, tactical execution, and commercial excellence. This is a hands-on analytical role that is proactive, collaborates across functions, and enables data-driven decisions that are based on rigorous analyses, best available information, and business knowledge. The Associate Director, Business Analytics will collaborate on the rare disease data strategy, the procurement of various datasets, building and implementing the analytics plan, informing business decisions, and designing and implementing analytical solutions to support business opportunities. This position will also conduct primary and secondary market research and provide integrated insights for the business unit.

In addition to strong analytics skills, the Associate Director, Business Analytics should have excellent communication skills, a demonstrated track record of effective business partnership, business impact and influence.

A Typical Day Might Look Like This:

  • Analytics plan development and implementation

  • Performance reporting and understanding based on key strategic imperatives, business questions and definition of success

  • Identifying business needs and proposing potential analytics approaches for solutions

  • Conducting subnational analyses, and championing the use of local customer insights

  • Opportunity identification and assessment, leveraging descriptive, prescriptive and predictive analytics (e.g., patient finder, next best HCP, etc.)

  • Segmentation and targeting

  • Delivering the analytics necessary for Integrated business reviews, Quarterly business reviews support, strategic planning, etc.

This Position Might Be for You If:

  • Informing data strategy and acquisition

  • Collaborating with stakeholders on the pull through of insights into actions

  • Collaborating with internal teams including, Insights & Analytics, Data Strategy Management, Incentives & Alignment, Commercial Operations, Finance, Marketing, Sales, etc.

  • Complying with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as it relates to data assets

  • Develop and put into operation robust and well-crafted market research and analytics plans that inform strategic initiatives.

  • Provide commercial analytics to the marketing team to help develop marketing strategies

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a Bachelor’s Degree Required; STEM degree ideal; MBA/Masters or other graduate degree desired. A minimum of 10 years of biopharmaceutical healthcare market advanced analytics and customer insights experience with proven track record of successfully leading biopharma analytics and market research initiatives among healthcare providers, patients, caregivers, payers, and other relevant stakeholder audiences. Rare disease experience preferred. Pharmaceutical experience preferred. Additional prior experience in supporting rare disease planning, strategic planning, business development, portfolio management or similar function highly preferred. Strong knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources, and ability to utilize these tools to inform business questions and decision efforts. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills, story-telling capabilities, ability to build rapport and credibility, and consultative skills. Results and solutions orientation, shared accountability and transparency, creative problem solving, ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization, effective negotiation, and prioritization skills. Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high quality business results within tight timelines. Expert level PowerPoint and Excel skills and technologically savvy at learning new tools. Experience coding in SQL, Python/PySpark, R and/or SAS (BASE, STAT, SQL, Macros). Experience in data visualization and reporting working with commercial business intelligence tools required (e.g., Tableau, QlikView, Oracle BI, Microstrategy, Cognos, Spotfire or similar tools).

Salary Range (annually)

$151,800.00 - $247,800.00
