This position is a temporary position till June 2025, reports into Senior Director R&D and is based at Helsingborg, Sweden.

What you will do

As Principle Scientist R&D, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing new scientific concepts and technologies, ensuring quality conduct of projects, and making timely technical decisions. You will work independently to perform research of a complex nature and modify methodology to improve the quality, accuracy, and usefulness of data:

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute research plans and experiments to support the development of new cough and cold products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new product opportunities.

• Analyze and interpret data to draw conclusions and make recommendations for product development.

• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in treatments.

• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

• Lead and mentor junior scientists in the R&D team.

• Lead and manage research projects to identify and develop new scientific concepts and technologies in alignment with business goals

• Provide scientific direction and leadership to laboratory scientists and technicians to ensure quality conduct of projects

• Coordinate activities with external contract laboratories and manufacturing sites to ensure project timelines and milestones are met

• Develop and mentor staff to provide employee growth and ensure scientific integrity and quality of all data produced

• Present on programs at senior management meetings to influence decision-making at Top-to-Top levels

• Continuously improve the development of new or refined materials, processes, products and/or scientific procedures

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field, such as pharmaceutical sciences or chemistry.

• 6-8 years of experience in a related role, with a proven track record of success in developing new products.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize forecast and predict outcomes on the basis of complex business data and reports.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience leading and mentoring junior scientists.

• Experience leading with key enabling functions and enabling business growth, development, and innovation.

• Proven ability to influence decision-making at Top-to-Top levels within and across organizations, both internally and externally.

• Ability to lead effectively through ambiguity, conflict, and complexity.

• Demonstrated track record of success in all behaviors of our Leadership Imperatives.
