Job Title: Electrician
Job Description
The Electrician works primarily with other tradespeople in a predominantly residential setting. Tasks vary widely and may include home wiring diagnostics and repairs, panel replacement, remodeling projects, as well as advising and consulting others within your areas of expertise. Must be a team player, have a good attitude, be highly motivated, and have a good work ethic.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair home wiring issues.
Replace electrical panels.
Participate in remodeling projects.
Advise and consult with other tradespeople.
Install new equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
Handle warranty items and perform service and repair work.
Read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings.
Ensure safety practices are followed at all times.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry.
Thorough knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the trade, with a strong focus on the residential side.
Ability to read, understand, and work from specifications and drawings.
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, or stand, lift, and move heavy objects.
Journeyman/Master license required.
Operating knowledge and proficiency with hand-held computers (i.e., smartphone, tablet).
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with electrical wiring, conduit, troubleshooting, construction, installation, conduit bending, pulling wire, cable, low voltage, and lighting.
Ability to travel may be required.

Work Environment
Mostly residential new construction. The role requires physical demands including talking, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, handling and feeling objects, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally, you will need to lift equipment, tools, products, and supplies up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment exposes the employee to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and outside weather conditions. Noise levels can occasionally be loud. Safety is paramount; employees must recognize the importance of safety, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions.
