We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing systems such as in EPDM, PVC, and TPO membranes. Many of our jobs are prevailing wages rates! We are family owned and operated and have been the leading commercial roofing company in New York State for over 40 years. The hourly rate posted is for non-prevailing wage jobs. Many of the jobs we work on are prevailing wage.The Commercial Roofer will collaborate with a team to complete projects efficiently and effectively.DutiesInstallation of single ply roof systems such as EPDM, TPO, PVCApplication of roofing systems such as BUR roof systems cold applied, hot asphalt applied, torch Applied, peel & stickInstallation of single ply and BUR roof system details and flashingsAbility to read drawings, and follow written and verbal instructionsUtilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various roofing tasksFollow building codes and manufacturer specifications during installationFlat Insulation and Tapered insulation lay out and installationLoad, unload, and store materials safelyCut and shape roofing materials to fit specified areasClean up job site and dispose of roofing waste in an environmentally responsible mannerEnsure all safety protocols and regulations are followed, including proper use of harnesses, scaffolding, and other safety equipmentWork with fall protection systems, ladders, and lifts to access high areasAdhere to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelinesQualificationsProven experience in commercial roofing or related construction fields.Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing applications.Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings related to roofing projects.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Physical stamina to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.3-5 years experience in commercial roofing preferredMust have own transportation to and from job sitesOSHA 10 certification requiredJoin our team as a Commercial Roofer where your skills will contribute to the success of our projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.J&B Installations is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
