Science Systems and Applications, Inc. Senior Business Development Specialist in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

SSAI seeks a Senior Business Development Specialist to play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding the company's customer base. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive business success and meet organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in line with the company's strategic goals.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and business partners.

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.

  • Lead proposal development, pricing, and negotiation processes to close deals.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless execution of client deals.

  • Track and report key business development metrics to senior leadership.

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

  • Develop strategic partnerships to enhance business offerings and growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscape, and business trends.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
