Position Overview

Are you ready to kick start your career in project management? Thompson Solutions Group is looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to join our team! This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in project coordination and management. You will support our project management and service teams, helping to keep projects organized and running smoothly. Your role will involve assisting with administrative tasks, managing project documentation, and collaborating with our field teams to ensure everything stays on track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Management: Organize and manage project documents, including submittals, maintenance manuals, and shop drawings. Assist with reviewing invoices and processing small work orders.

  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and participate in project related meetings, including pre-bid and planning sessions, stepping in for the Project Manager as needed.

  • Project Support: Assist with various project tasks, such as estimating, scheduling, handling change orders, and closing out projects.

  • Scheduling & Procurement: Help maintain project timelines and coordinate the procurement of necessary materials and equipment.

  • Client Interaction: Act as a communication point for clients and field leaders, ensuring information is shared efficiently.

  • Independent Project Oversight: Take charge of smaller projects with guidance from senior team members.

What We're Looking For

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in construction, engineering, or related fields is required, but we also value hands-on experience! If you have a high school diploma and at least two years of relevant experience in construction, project management, or related fields, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of reading floor plans, blueprints, and construction documents. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new software applications.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with diverse teams and clients.

  • Organizational Abilities: Detail oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team Player: Enthusiasm for supporting team members and learning from experienced project managers.

  • Adaptability: A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt and improve project processes.

  • Travel: Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to visit job sites as needed.
