Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician performs duties relative to patient care under the direct guidance of a Registered Nurse. The PCT is responsible to monitor cardiac rhythms during patient transports as delegated by the Registered Nurse, collecting diagnostic data and assisting nursing personnel in providing patient care in their assigned area.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

  • On the job training provided. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

  • Successful completion of basic arrhythmia course preferred.

  • Previous experience in medical field preferred.

  • This position requires you to be 16 years of age or older.

Work Schedule

  • Varied Shifts: every other weekend, every other holiday, occasional on-call; 72 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
