This includes engineering teams, distributors, and more than 100 qualified construction crews with extensive experience across all ISP types and markets; over 300 experienced bury drop crews; and more than 700 professional technicians.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations Controls to join our dynamic team. As Director of Operations Controls, you will lead the development and implementation of robust project control systems that drive operational excellence across our organization. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional leadership skills to optimize project delivery and financial performance.

The Role

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project control systems, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures

  • Lead the growth of organizational project management capabilities through standardized tools, guidelines, and best practices

  • Establish and maintain project control standards that can be efficiently deployed across all projects

  • Drive accurate financial reporting through efficient collection and analysis of cost, WIP, and billing data

  • Drive efficient project closeout and billing procedures

  • Implement robust accrual management and billing reconciliation processes

  • Develop and maintain detailed project budgets and key performance indicators

  • Create data-driven analytics and reporting tools to support business development initiatives

  • Implement a formal project gating process that clearly defines project goals, execution strategies, and risk mitigation plans

  • Establish change management processes in partnership with operations teams

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of project reporting and adherence to established procedures

  • Lead and mentor project controls team members and other support department resources

  • Partner with Operations, Pre-Construction, and HR to develop efficient organizational structures

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through post-project analysis and lessons learned

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all support functions

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project leadership experience in telecommunications construction, drop bury, and/or installation operations

  • PMP or Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or related field a plus

  • Proven track record in project management and operations leadership

  • Strong understanding of project controls, financial management, and risk mitigation

  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement standardized processes and systems

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities

  • Ability to travel as needed +/- 25% annually

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
