    Job Summary

    The Director of Hospital Medicine, in collaboration with appropriate interdisciplinary team members, is responsible for assuring that services are provided in a safe, efficient, and cost effective manner that enhances patient, staff and physician satisfaction. The director will work with budgets, develop, and implement operating systems, hire, train and evaluate staff as well as manage quality improvement processes. In addition, the Director will be responsible for enhancing practice and services, ensure that the department meets all regulatory body requirements, and assist with developing policies for management functions for the appropriate product line.

    Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a bachelor’s degree in health-related career required.

  • Experience in leadership, multidisciplinary problem solving and quality improvement preferred.
