Experienced Carpentry/Construction Lead
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Monday–Friday (weekend work may be required), 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (with overtime as needed)
A well-established construction company in Sioux City, Iowa, is looking for an experienced Carpentry/Construction Lead to join their team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in carpentry and leadership, responsible for managing projects and supervising a team to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely completion. Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and laborers on various construction projects
Oversee daily operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget
Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to execute projects accurately
Ensure that all work is performed safely and meets quality standards
Manage materials and equipment to ensure efficient use and minimize waste
Inspect work sites for potential hazards and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Communicate project updates and issues with management and clients
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
High School Diploma / GED (additional trade certifications a plus)
3+ years of experience in carpentry and construction, with leadership experience
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs)
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND YOUR OWN VEHICLE
