As a Staff Generative AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cutting-edge generative AI solutions to drive innovation and efficiency in our products and processes.

Job Responsibilities

Generative AI Development:

• Design, develop, and implement state-of-the-art generative AI models and algorithms

• Optimize and fine-tune existing models for specific use cases within TE Connectivity

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize generative AI applications

MLOps and Deployment:

• Develop and maintain efficient MLOps pipelines for generative AI models

• Ensure smooth integration of generative AI solutions into existing systems and workflows

• Optimize model performance and scalability for production environments

Prompt Engineering

• Develop and refine prompt engineering techniques to optimize generative AI model outputs

• Create and maintain a library of effective prompts for various use cases within TE Connectivity

• Train team members on best practices in prompt engineering and efficient interaction with AI model

Technical Skills:

• Demonstrated expertise in prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs) and other generative AI systems

• Experience with prompt optimization techniques, including chain-of-thought prompting, few-shot learning, and instruction fine-tuning

• Familiarity with prompt engineering tools and frameworks

Prompt Engineering Proficiency:

• Proven track record of improving AI model performance through advanced prompt engineering techniques

• Experience in developing prompt strategies for diverse applications, from natural language processing to multimodal AI systems

• Ability to create and implement prompt templates that ensure consistent and high-quality AI-generated outputs

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a strong focus on generative AI technologies

• Proven track record of developing and deploying generative AI solutions in production environments

Technical Skills:

• Expert-level proficiency in Python and relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)

• In-depth knowledge of generative AI models (e.g., GPT, DALL-E, GANs, VAEs,Claude)

• Strong background in natural language processing, computer vision, or multimodal AI

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and MLOps tools

Problem-Solving and Innovation:

• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to tackle complex AI challenges

• Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring new AI technologies and applications

Communication and Collaboration:

• Strong communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior AI engineers
