At Splunk, now part of Cisco, we are passionate about creating digital resilience through innovative, reliable systems that enable our customers to thrive. We are a diverse and dynamic team, dedicated to our work, committed to customer success, and focused on supporting each other. We're looking for a Senior Pre-sales Solutions Architect to join our world-class team and play a key role in driving the success of Splunk’s Observability solutions.

As a Senior Pre-sales Solutions Architect on the Observability team, you will be the technical and industry domain expert in Splunk’s Observability solutions including Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, and Splunk AppDynamics. You will bring your experience and industry knowledge to guide strategic sales initiatives across Asia and APAC, working closely with customers and account teams to deliver differentiated, high-impact solutions in the Observability space.

You will:

  • Lead technical discovery, qualification, and product demonstrations that directly address customer pain points and highlight Splunk’s unique value.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through trials, proof of concepts, and the adoption of observability roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to share insights that improve our solutions and customer outcomes.

  • Engage with customers at all levels, from developers and SREs to C-suite executives, ensuring they derive maximum value from Splunk’s offerings.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Over 5 years of experience in Sales Engineering or a similar customer-facing role, with a strong track record of influencing and persuading stakeholders.

  • Expertise in Observability solutions (APM, distributed tracing, metric time series, OpenTelemetry, etc.)

  • A solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and enterprise systems like ERP, CRM, and ESB, across both on-premise and cloud deployments.

  • Familiarity with Splunk’s architecture and components, with the ability to customize solutions for business service monitoring and AIOps use cases (preferred).

  • Ability to read, understand, and instrument code in languages such as Java, .NET, and NodeJS.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps and software delivery practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and automation.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with certifications being a plus.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with a passion for driving customer success.

The role involves travel of up to 25%, primarily within the Asia and APAC region, to engage directly with customers and support key sales opportunities.

If you’re an enthusiastic and adaptive observability expert, excited to lead and innovate in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you. Help us redefine what’s possible in the world of observability.
