An opportunity exists for an APAC Regional Marketing Development Manager in the Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific. This position offers the shortlisted candidate a key position in the Laboratory Product Group and will provide opportunities for career development and growth. The position is based in Singapore.

What will you do:

  • Understand regional competitive, customer and market dynamics and report back on findings to drive growth. Recommend and prioritize actions based on, seasonality and competitive pressures, key partner performance and issues as appropriate.

  • Consistently utilize detailed analysis and routine reporting of region business performance to build, execute and adapt regional GTM plans

  • Propose and execute on customer and market research programs to provide key market insights and actionable business outcomes in the region

  • Build a network of influence within the LCD organization and the Regional Commercial, Channel and marketing teams across the organization to ensure that all parties are aligned, and be an advocate of APAC LCD worldwide

  • Drive sales activation and sales enablement direct and through the channel

  • Work in close association with direct and channel commercial teams to deliver regional revenue targets. Partner with commercial leaders to align marketing /sales strategies

  • Manage the OpEx forecasting and ensure the marketing plan is deployed to maximize spend in line with the plan.

How will you get here:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or Marketing.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of proven experience developing marketing strategy and successfully conducting marketing plans.

  • Experience in life sciences industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize

  • Ability to influence without authority and work in a large organization within a highly matrixed environment and to build cross divisional and cross group networks.

  • Collaborative approach to developing and sharing strategy and tactics.

  • Knowledge of the following key competencies: 4Ps and marketing mix, marketing communications, public relations and media outreach, content strategy/marketing, VOC/VOS, segmentation, value proposition and marketing program development and execution.
