Your Career

As the Ecosystems Solution Architect Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Solution Architects focused on driving business growth through strategic partnerships with Global System Integrators (GSIs), Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). This role requires a deep understanding of the company's product suite, industry trends, and partner ecosystems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, technical acumen, and relationship-building skills to effectively manage and enable partners to scale the business.

You will directly manage the regional Solution Architect team, supporting GSI, CSP, MSSP and Technology partners to scale the business. Technical resources team while developing a centralized engagement strategy for the wider partner ecosystem.

The role will require the services creation and leadership of virtual teams across the JAPAC region. You will also engage with the Partners to understand their challenges and identify development requirements. Ecosystem partners are critical to our business. We recognise that the partner landscape is differentiated and requires a tailored approach to our engagement strategy. This role will be responsible for the development and delivery of a tiered jointed solution and enablement plan which targets each of the partner categories with a consistent methodology. Distribution, Channel, Systems Integrators, and Managed Services across product platforms (Strata, SASE, Prisma Cloud, and Cortex).

Your knowledge will be used to evolve the JAPAC wider partner communication programs, working closely with the Global strategic team and Global Ecosystem organization to ensure consistent and efficient communication. Your work will lead to the development and delivery of partner communication both virtually and conference style.

We are looking for a leader who has strong leadership and organizational skills, and who is comfortable working in both a direct and matrix environment. Working in a matrix environment will require strong influencing skills to achieve your goals, as well as the ability to create clear goals, milestones and success criteria.

Your Impact

  • Support the creation of an industry-leading Ecosystem partner landscape across the region

  • Recruit and hire new Ecosystem Systems Engineers/Architects into the team, hiring the best talent in the industry

  • Develop relationships with the key Ecosystems partners, understand their challenges, and develop programs to enable them to be a successful Palo Alto Networks Ecosystem Partner

  • Work with the Global Ecosystem team to ensure they understand and are meeting the requirements of our JAPAC Ecosystem partners

  • Retain, train, mentor, and review employees on your team, while keeping them engaged and successful in their careers

  • Must be able to maintain a positive outlook, while leading and keeping the GSI Partner SEs motivated in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

  • Help define and continuously update the system engineering training/enablement roadmap with the support of Ecosystem leader

  • Build and maintain virtual teams across the region to both support and drive consistent engagement and enablement activities

  • Act as an escalation point for pre-sales and post-sales technical issues that arise from strategic partners

  • Build relationships with the key technology partnerships for Palo Alto Networks

  • Understand the emerging partner landscape of the CSPs (e.g. GCP, Azure, AWS) and how we support their market requirements

  • Steer conversations about industry trends and emerging changes on the security landscape that is relevant to the partners market requirements

Your Experience

  • Experience as a pre-sales Systems Engineer Manager

  • Strong organizational and experience working in a matrix environment

  • Experience in building project plans and execution

  • Experience working with partners (GSIs, SP, CSP, MSSP and Technology partners)

  • Industry knowledge of security product market trends and directional awareness of our roadmap and technology development efforts, knowledge of competitor offerings and products

  • Knowledge of how to deliver comprehensive security solutions to Palo Alto Networks customer base

  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills

  • Quota driven attitude focused on the client's best solution by being a trusted advisor

  • Proven track record in managing and leading high-performing technical teams

  • Strong understanding of solution architecture principles and methodologies

  • Deep knowledge of the technology industry and partner ecosystems

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
