OVERVIEW

The Digital Supervising Producer, APAC is responsible for co-leading a dynamic international digital team tasked with creating audio and visual content for CNBC.com and its other digital platforms. Sitting within the Events and Programming organization, this person should be passionate about super-serving the CNBC audience with relevant, high-quality content, and will act as a key collaborator within the wider newsroom. This role will manage the Digital Video, Audio and Social Media team for APAC and will be responsible for editing the region’s output. They will also help advise other parts of the business on best practice for digital storytelling and distribution.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute CNBC International’s digital video, audio and social media strategy in APAC region, whilst collaborating closely with the EMEA team

  • Manage members of the APAC team by sharing objectives, setting clear goals, giving regular feedback and promoting training, news skills and career growth

  • Communicate core principles and best practice across the newsroom

  • Thoroughly vet and sign off content created by digital and social producers, as well as approve content created for digital video, audio and social platforms by contributors from across the wider newsroom

  • Champion cross-team collaboration by supporting digital strategy around priority linear programming, dotcom coverage and events

  • Communicate with colleagues in other regions to ensure alignment on strategy and coverage

  • Support the scheduling and publishing of content on all platforms

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Smart judgment and awareness about transforming business news, data and features into compelling content to deepen CNBC’s relationship with existing audiences and attract new ones

  • Strong people management skills with demonstrated experience in team management

  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, multi-tasking and deadline-oriented environment

  • Significant experience in producing, writing and editing content

  • Advanced research and fact-checking skills

     

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a similar role

  • Highly collaborative and creative attitude

  • Sophisticated understanding of social media and industry developments in digital distribution platforms

  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Photoshop, or similar video and photo editing software
