JOB SUMMARY
• To manage, motivate and develop the on-site Data Centre Critical Environment Operations team in a business critical 24/7/365 operating environment
• To successfully deliver contracted services to the client on the agreed site(s), ensuring performance
from an uptime, quality, health and safety and financial perspective.
• To manage and develop a professional relationship with the client locally to create a positive
customer experience.
• To deliver a performance level which achieves and goes beyond the KPI’s and SLA’s set down in the
contract with the client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and that both clients and Company health and safety policy and process is effectively implemented across both teams’ services and subcontractors’ activities and are regularly reviewed.
· Be ever ready to manage the rectification process for all issues/incidents and emergencies.
· Driving Asset Verification through PPMs.
· Coach, develop, manage and, mentor Engineers and technicians.
· Drive effective controls and compliance, ensuring that processes meet Client expectations across all the Colocation and Tech Rooms.
· Lead analysis of complex data to identify risk and opportunities to set priorities and focus areas.
· Works across regional team to manage and evaluate progress of DCS Shield / CERM Program.
· Leads the collection in analysing, reviewing, and maintaining reports of capacity planning, utilisation, compliance, tickets management and maintenance records, and highlights key issues or topics to management and client.
· Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and leads consistent deliver for Colocation sites and Tech Rooms across APAC region.
· Supports locals’ teams in the preparation and validation of information and documentation for client internal and external audit programs Provides appropriate levels of detail and summarises complex issues succinctly.
· Manages internal and external relationships in support of program. Creates, maintains & distributes as and when required.
· To manage/oversee a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of account and programs.
· Serves as the primary client contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth, or delivery issues.
· Proactively review clients critical facilities risk management tool for completion of site evaluations and submission of risk mitigation plans.
· Reviews critical facilities activities for suitability, impact and risk mitigation in data centre location.
· Leads the critical facilities activity change review meetings with client real estate and IT stakeholders.
· Well-equipped with skills & experience in managing data centre operations including experience in overseeing P&L
· Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labour, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviours’ that are consistent with the company's values.

· Diploma or Degree in Facility Management - Preferred
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a critical site data centre.
· Electrical Trade or Electrical Engineering qualification – essential
· Strong decision making skills
· A quality and continuous improvement focus
· Strong Communications and interpersonal skills
· Finance skills
· Previous experience in Critical Environments and/or Data Centres
· Worked within a matrix organisation
· Internal and external client management
· Industry knowledge in critical environment and/or data centre environments and one or more of the following: M&E, facilities management, projects, building services
