Human Resources Intern

Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department with the responsibility of providing customer service to a population of over 600 employees. Coordinates activities and performs administrative duties, while aligning tasks with the team’s goals and business objectives.

  • Provides day to day administrative support to the Human Resources department with tasks such as filing, copying, and preparing materials for trainings and other HR related processes

  • Compiles and maintains personnel files; routinely files documentation to ensure personnel files are up to date

  • Support Human Resources and Finance departments with weekly and monthly reporting needs

  • Maintain communication boards across campus

  • Prepares new hire packages and conducts new hire orientation meetings

  • Participates in coordinating company events

  • Provides back-up coverage for front desk receptionist daily to allow for required lunch and break times, as well as during absences

  • Communicates effectively through phone, e-mail and correspondence, while maintaining a professional manner

  • Carefully handles sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation

  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.

    Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations

  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to coordinate activities for a team

    This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements .

    The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22 - $25/hour.
