Job Title: EngineerJob Description

We are supporting a tier 1 utility client and are tasked with sourcing an individual to enter asset data related to substations into a database system. On a daily basis, you will be entering information into a software called Cascade. We desire a tech-savvy individual, and familiarity with Cascade would be a big plus. Familiarity with substation equipment and assets is preferred as it will make the role easier. Critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Although the end client is marketing the role as an engineer position, it involves more database management and document control than traditional engineering design and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Enter asset data related to substations into a database system.

• Use Cascade software to input and manage information.

• Reference engineering prints for equipment details.

• Manage databases and control documents.

• Work independently and apply critical thinking skills.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with Cascade software.

• Experience in database management.

• Knowledge of substation equipment and assets.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with multiple engineering software programs.

• Ability to learn new programs quickly.

Work Environment

This role offers the ability to work fully remote for established engineers with the right skillset. We have offices in Silver Spring, MD; Atlanta, GA; Hartford, CT; Albany, NY; and Reading, PA. Candidates can choose to work from these offices as well. Junior-level candidates may be asked to work a hybrid schedule. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00
