ASRC Federal Holding Company Senior Windows System Admin SME in Silver Spring, Maryland

ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator Level V to support our NOAA programs in Silver Spring, Maryland.

This role is a 100% on site position.

Key Role:

Provide support for windows server systems running on windows 2012/2016/2019. Activities includes troubleshooting, patching, backing up / restoring of VM’s, deploying new VM’s and working with application teams on Middleware support. Lead team of Junior admins in resolving system issues

  • Help Junior Admins with Patching servers monthly or on as needed basis for vulnerabilities

  • Use Ansible tower to manage and maintain the Windows environment

  • Update Ansible with automation scripts and write Ansible scripts to optimize SA work

  • Manage Puppet in providing compliance of the Windows environment

  • Manage and maintain repo server and its repositories and the devices that pull down the repos

  • Manage active Directory and DNS

  • Proficient in VMWare Esxi infrastructure and knowledge on deploying VM’s

  • Will serve as the systems architect for improving and optimizing the current state, and designing and building the next generation infrastructure.

  • Must excel at troubleshooting extremely complex problems to resolution.

Requirements :

Required

  • 12+ years of experience with planning, designing, and installing and running Windows based systems

  • Must have Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent

  • Hardware/software/storage within an Enterprise data center

  • Should have expert level knowledge on Ansible and managing of Linux environment

  • Active Directory Management and VMWare ESXi

  • Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent (Required)

  • US Citizenship required to meet government on site requirements

  • Must be willing to do occasional shift or on call support
