Job Title : Program Coordinator/Food Security Initiatives, Montgomery County

Employment Type : Grant Funded/Fixed Term

Schedule : Full-time , 40 hours per week, Non-Exempt

Position Highlights: The Program Coordinator specializes in managing, coordinating, implementing, marketing, data collection and evaluating different programs and projects. The Program Coordinator provides day-to-day oversight of administrative and operational functions in order to achieve program/project sustainability and success in accordance with defined targets, strategies and goals.

Role Overview:

Responsible for building positive relationships with the community and actively participating on committees and health initiatives. He/she must be well informed on the organizational structure and departmental policies of Holy Cross Health and work well across departments and locations to maximize resources. The Program Coordinator will work closely with community members, volunteers, and partner organizations to create sustainable solutions that promote access to healthy foods and food literacy.

Location: Holy Cross Health operates two hospitals and four healthcare centers, all within a short driving distance from Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD.

Reporting to : Reports to the Manager, Health Community Programs

Minimum Education, licensure/certification required:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in community health or a related field; master's degree in public health or related field preferred. Two years' experience in a related position.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with all levels of management as well as contract staff and a range of external constituents. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and recognize opportunities for program development Knowledge and experience in evaluation, data collection, analysis, and reporting with strong written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Pay Range: $20.75-$31.00

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
