Location: Holy Cross Health operates two hospitals and four healthcare centers, all within a short driving distance from Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD.
Reporting to: Chief Medical Director
Role Overview:
Is responsible for managing the diagnosis and efficient and effective treatment of Health Center patients to include a therapeutic health service that focuses on health restoration, health maintenance and disease prevention. Providing patient exams and consultations striving to reach 10 patient visits per 4-hour session.
The Primary Care Physician is responsible for participating in the Center’s Quality Performance Improvement program. This role is an adviser to management on clinical matters and the results of any external audits, clinical quality problems and the progress of quality improvement efforts.
The Health Center Physician maintains in compliance with Federal, State, and Local health care regulations as well as the Joint Commission standards.
Primary medical care will be provided in a culturally competent manner to a medically underserved, low income, uninsured patient population.
After hours coverage will be maintained as appropriate.
Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Skills:
Medical Doctor with current Maryland licensure free from restrictions or limitations.
DEA registered
CDS licensed
CPR certified
Required Education and Certifications:
Graduation from an accredited school of medicine and successful completion of a residency program. Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in acute care setting, preferably a community health center serving culturally diverse and underserved patient populations. A minimum of two years supervisory experience required. Experience in the development and management of quality, risk, and utilization review processes. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Bilingual preferred.
Ability to use computers. Reads, writes, speaks and comprehends English.
Pay Range:
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
