By joining the Centuri GroupEnvironmental,Health,Safety, andQuality(EHSQ) team, you help us in supporting our operational partners in the commitment to continuous improvement. As a team, we manage the successful implementation of EHSQ programs and are primary contributors to the creation of program standards, safety training, auditing processes, and safety culture. Our goal is to provide subject matter expertise to the business to support our customers’ needs, regulatory compliance, and, most importantly, our employees’ wellbeing.
As an EHSQ Advisor, you will champion and oversee all aspects of the program as it is implemented in field operations. You will engage with gas utility crews to ensure the correct implementation of initiatives and provide coaching to enhance skill and comprehension, foster a positive EHSQ environment on job sites. In your role, the key to success will your ability to collaborate effectively with operations and stakeholders, explaining the "why" behind initiatives to broaden understanding, and elevateteam performance and culture.
What You'll Do
Conduct field observations, inspections and audits in accordance with the Quality Management and Audit Frequency plan, enforcing actions to support the EHSQ program
Conduct investigations and root cause analysis and submit findings using electronic audit tool
Guide field team members on continuous EHSQ development through hands-on demonstration, coaching, and on-site skill development
Verify adherence to internal, external, and client specific EHSQ Requirements (Company, OSHA, PHMSA, EPA, Customer, etc.)
Assist to identify trends and create mitigating actions and communicate to operational leaders
Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
1+ year safety experience in construction or related industry
Completed or ability to complete OSHA 500/510, CUSP, and Competent Person Training
Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook and Team

Work Environment
Majority of work is performed in the field at construction sites; field work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or crouch for extended periods of time
Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late when necessary
Travel required within the state routinely and out of state occasionally
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Legal Stuff
