Athletic Director Secretary Immediate Classified Opening Full-Time, 12Months High School
Reports To:
Athletic Director and BuildingPrincipal
General Summary:To complete the detailed and written work and to coordinate matters essential to the efficiency and effectiveness of the school office so that the offices maximum positive impact on the education of children can be realized. The AD Secretary positions have the primary responsibility for providing clerical support to principals, athletic director, and school attendance. These individuals respond to inquiries from the public, either in person or on the telephone, and maintain records in accordance with district policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Greeting visitors, answering telephone calls in a pleasant and efficient manner, and communicating effectively in routine, sensitive, and confidential matters.
- Performs administrative and secretarial support necessary to accomplish objectives established by the Athletic Director and Building Principal
- Adapt to the variety of responsibilities
- Properly handle confidential matters relating to students, student records, parents, staff and any other school related issues.
- Display ethical and professional behavior in working with everyone who communicates or is associated with the office.
- Organize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the administration, faculty, students, and parents of the school.
- Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
- Tracking purchase orders and requisitions for the Athletic Department.
- Responsible for Athletic travel booking.

Qualifications:
Education Level:High school diploma or equivalent;
Experience desired -Three years of clerical experience.
Other requirements
- Courteous telephone manners; the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, patrons and school personnel; good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition; working knowledge of office machines; excellent computer skills; ability to work independently, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; demonstrates ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
