General Summary:
The main objective of the Supervisors role is to ensure the delivery and accuracy of meals in a timely fashion. In addition, the Supervisor acts in a leadership role of the Food and Nutrition Services reporting to the department Director.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities - Essential Functions:
- Employee Supervision:
- Ensure that all cold/hot items and condiments for meal times according to quantities as written on the Daily Production List.
- Ensure proper presentation of meal trays, including meal accuracy and meal temperature, and ensure timely tray delivery.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the cafeteria, doctors dining areas, and catering during shift.
- Adheres to the facility\'s Emergency Preparedness Program, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other mandatory programs in the Facility as appropriate.
- Organization:
- Maintains organization throughout the shift in department areas.
- Prioritize the day appropriately according to events of the day.
- Ensure all reports/documentation are completed appropriately.
- Teamwork:
- Assist other team members when necessary.
- Asks for help when necessary.
- Assist management in any way conducive to the efficient operation of the food service department.
- Communication:
- Effectively communicate product and equipment issues to management in a timely manner.
- Know the schedule and check with management before leaving.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Job Specifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Education: No degree required.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a supervisory role required.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping and bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
