We are in search of a meticulous and dedicated Purchaser to join our team in Worcester, Massachusetts. The role involves managing daily warehouse and production operations, including fulfillment, warehousing, production and assembly tasks, quality control, and inventory control. You will be working in a dynamic environment that demands initiative, innovative thinking, and adherence to Lean Manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily warehouse and production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality assurance, inventory control, and adherence to deadlines.

• Oversee warehouse activities, including receiving and storage, distribution, space management, and floor productivity.

• Lead production operations and guide team members on light assembly, product kitting, counting, and packaging.

• Train employees on production and warehousing equipment and procedures, ensuring effective and safe use.

• Manage inbound shipments, verify quantities and quality, and maintain awareness of product inventory levels.

• Implement and maintain inventory control principles, including cycle counts, for high level inventory accuracy.

• Develop and apply quality control methods to ensure all received and sent products meet quality standards.

• Ensure compliance with the latest safety regulations by establishing, following, and enforcing safety standards and procedures.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all personnel, products, and equipment.

• Establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Purchaser role or similar capacity

• Proficient in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 platform

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience in using About Time software

• Knowledge of Buying Processes and Component Selection

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Background in Manufacturing, Daily Production, Pre-production, and Production

• Experience in Production control, Production coordination, and Production management

• Familiarity with Warehouse Distribution, Warehouse Duties, Warehouse Environment, and Warehouse Equipment

• Good understanding of Warehouse Inventory and Warehouse Management

• Must have legal right to work in the job location

• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

• Strong negotiation skills.
