TSI Incorporated Quality Engineer II in Shoreview, Minnesota

From helping to ensure worker safety and understanding air quality to supporting complex highly technical industries such as pharmaceuticals manufacturing, semiconductor, and research customers, TSI employees are part of something special with a purpose Quality Engineer II at TSI The Quality Assurance Engineer II (OEM) will perform data analysis, identify trends, and implement improvements in TSI's operations. Identify and eliminate manufacturing defects, non-conformities, problems or other issues affecting the quality or reliability of TSI products or services.This role will predominantly be involved with the flow measurement value stream. TSI mass flow meters and mass flow sensors for gases are used worldwide in laboratory and manufacturing settings, plus embedded applications. TSI flow meters and embedded flow sensors are optimized for medical applications where accuracy and reliability are key requirements. This position is responsible for both customer and manufacturing quality support in the flow meter group. What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for: * Perform statistical analysis, identify trends, and implement changes related to defects in internal manufacturing, returned goods and customer complaints. * Investigate and resolve OEM customer incidents. * Support OEM customers with process change requests, validation activities, failure analysis and quality metric reporting. * Work with engineering team to assure design requirements are manufacturable and meet product quality and reliability goals. * Develop PFMEA, control plans, quality plans, and perform risk analysis in conjunction with other product development team members. * Participate in internal quality audits. * Coordinate with key operations personnel to identify and implement corrective actions to eliminate internal process nonconformance. * Develop procedures for inspection of manufactured/purchased parts and conduct training to all personnel as appropriate. * Must work well with others. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. * Completes other assignments as requested. What Do You Need? Required * Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science * If a Bachelor's degree is held, a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment * If a Master'sdegree is held, a minimum of 1 years of experience as a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment Desired * Master's degree in Engineering or a related science * ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) * Six Sigma Green or Black belt Knowledge * Quality System such as ISO 9001 (or ISO13485). * Fundamental understanding of statistics theory, and practical experience in its application. * Statistical analysis: SPC, Process Capability, Gage R&R, DOE, ANOVA, Hypotheses Testing, etc. * Knowledge of design and development risk management. * Demonstrated experience in trouble shooting problems. * Problem solving methodology/quality tools: 8D, A3, 5 Why's, Is/Is Not, Ishikawa Diagrams. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Visio, and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP system.
