The Toxics Cleanup Program{rel="nofollow"} (TCP) within the Department of Ecology (Ecology) is looking to fill an Underground Storage Tanks Unit Supervisor (WMS Band 1) *position. This position is located in our *Northwest Region Office (NWRO) *in *Shoreline, WA{rel="nofollow"}. Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
*Please Note: *The salary posted above includes the additional 5% premium pay that this position will receive due to its location in Shoreline, WA{target="_blank" rel="noopener"} in King County.
As the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Unit Supervisor, you will manage professional staff who are responsible for completing the inspection of underground storage tanks (USTs) to ensure the associated piping systems are installed, managed, and monitored to prevent releases into the environment. In this role, you'll help set unit priorities, plan and schedule work with your team, as well as manage, mentor, recruit, and train staff.
You'll also provide UST expertise to teams within the Toxics Cleanup Program, the Agency, and across agencies and other involved parties. You'll advise other program staff on how their work overlaps with UST regulations, and engage with and provide technical assistance to UST facility owner/operators, service providers, consultants, government authorities, other agency staff and the general public.
