Position Details:

• Pay is $19 an hour PLUS $2 premium pay after training

• Schedule is Monday - Friday starting at 1pm until finish

• Will be required to work in the warehouse when not moving trailers

Position Purpose:

The Yard Driver, is responsible for moving tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.

• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.

• Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.

• Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

• 6+ months yard hostler/switcher experience

• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.

• Valid driver’s license (no CDL required)

• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)

• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years

• Pass road test
