In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the operations of our technologically advanced lead regional warehouse in our mission to bring energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions to every home. As a Warehouse Technology and Operations Manager, you will drive efficiency, uphold high standards of operational excellence, and contribute to the steady heartbeat of our organization.

Your role will also extend to becoming the guardian of exactitude, leading efforts to refine and perfect operational processes, SOPs, and inspections. You will conduct rigorous assessments and root cause analyses, proactively identifying potential issues, implementing solutions, and preventing recurrence. This drive for precision and excellence will help Alpine set new industry standards in operational excellence.

As the conductor of a symphony of technology and teamwork, you'll be at the helm of managing our warehouse activities, including receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing, all while optimizing inventory management. You will also use your expertise in warehouse management systems to generate actionable insights on operational metrics and KPIs, ensuring seamless operations.

Reporting Structure:

The Regional Operations Manager reports to the National Director of Warehousing. All regional warehouse employees and middle management personnel report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Location & Work Hours:

The Regional Operations Manager is scheduled to work on-location at our regional warehouses as required (location determined as required). Hours are variable and dependent on fluctuations in volume and business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Ability to travel within the contiguous United States, averaging 25% of the time

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when necessary.

  • At least 3 years of management experience overseeing multi-site warehouse operations

  • Proven ability to maintain safe operations implementing regional safety training programs and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations

  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and overseeing RFQ processes, including preparing budget forecasts, monitoring expenditures, evaluating vendor proposals, and negotiating contracts to ensure cost-effective procurement

  • Proficiency in Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations

  • Background working with LTL, truckload, and ocean/intermodal drayage carriers (drivers, dispatchers, terminals) to resolve issues in-transit

  • Expertise working with warehouse operating systems (WMS, IMS, TMS, mobile devices)

  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to compile and interpret complex data sets to build comprehensive Power BI reports

  • Experience in developing and implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor, measure, and enhance operational efficiency and performance.

  • IT skills to troubleshoot computer/IT issues

  • Proficiency working with Microsoft and Google G-Suite

  • Experienced in writing, maintaining, and managing operations in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Excellent follow-up and project management skills

  • Natural urgency, advanced time management skills, and an innate sense of prioritization

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills

  • Experienced with recruiting, onboarding, and building retention of talent

  • Proven track record of leading a team of reporting managers and employees, including performance management, discipline, and appraisals

  • Experience leading within an a Total Quality Management (TQM) environment, background in liaising with Quality Assurance and/or external audits

  • Familiarity with employment laws and OSHA standards for general industry

  • Mechanical aptitude for handling facility maintenance matters
