Description
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Fiberglass Manufacturing Plant operations. This includes managing production processes, optimizing efficiency, implementing strategic growth initiatives, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
Leading and managing a team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel
Developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency
Monitoring production metrics and drive results through data-driven decision-making
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and process optimization
Managing facilities maintenance, equipment repair, and capital expenditures
Dealing with customer issues and collaborate with HR on employee matters
Ensure alignment and collaboration between production and sales teams to meet customer needs, maximize
satisfaction, and achieve sales targets
- Traveling between the Shelton office and Gig Harbor location as needed
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Strong background in business management, manufacturing leadership, and operational excellence
Supervisory experience: performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and payroll
Experience in Fiberglass Manufacturing or related industries is a plus
Proficiency in math, Excel, Lean manufacturing principles, and JIT delivery
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and drive growth opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field is a plus
Experience with mechanical drafting and drafting software is a plus
