Nesco Resource Forklift Operator in Shelton, Connecticut
Overview: Local client is seeking a temp to hire Forklift Operator who will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Hours are 6:30 am to 3 pm Monday- Friday. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Forklift:Safely operate a forklift to move and store merchandise or materials.
- Loading and Unloading:Load and unload products from trailers or containers.
- Stacking and Storing:Stack and store materials in the appropriate areas.
- Inventory Management:Keep accurate records of materials moved and stored.
- Safety Compliance:Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues to management.
- Quality Control:Inspect products for damages and report any discrepancies or defects.
- Collaboration:Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Experience:minimum of 1 year steady experience as a forklift operator.
- Certification:Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Skills:Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, good communication skills.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
