Description We are looking for a Plant Controller to join our team in Shelbyville, Indiana. The Plant Controller will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, budget processes, and capital management for our manufacturing operations. This role will require expertise in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and bill of materials (BOM) management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting functions in the manufacturing plant

• Develop, implement, and monitor budget processes

• Handle capital management to ensure optimal use of resources

• Maintain and manage inventory accounting to ensure accurate record keeping

• Implement cost accounting methods to track and reduce costs

• Manage the bill of materials (BOM) to ensure accurate cost allocation

• Use strong Excel and ERP systems skills to automate and improve accounting processes

• Participate in month-end close processes, ensuring timelines and accuracy

• Collaborate with operations team to align financial and operational goals

• Provide financial analysis and reports to support decision-making. Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

• Extensive knowledge of Accounting Functions and Budget Processes.

• Proven expertise in Capital Management.

• Familiarity with Manufacturing processes and systems.

• Proficiency in Inventory Accounting and Cost Accounting.

• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) management.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

• Certification such as CPA, CMA, or similar is preferred.
