The role you’ll contribute:

The Wellness Manager is responsible for the continuous functioning, budgeting, planning, implementation and evaluation of all Advent Health Shawnee Mission wellness services. The manager is a leader and resource person for wellness strategies for associates, patients and the community, and strives to meet the needs of both the organization and customers seeking lifestyle education on wellness topics.

  • Works collaboratively with other departments at Advent Health Shawnee Mission and within the system to integrate prevention and health promotion throughout the hospital and system.

  • Work with community partners, internal stakeholders and others to develop sustainable wellness strategies and programming.

  • Oversee the hospital wellness strategic planning process.

  • Oversee the associate wellness program.

  • Collaborates with members of the Wellness team with scheduling and daily staffing.

  • Provide and promote a caring nurturing environment for all Wellness customers.

  • Responsible for hiring, evaluating and termination of all Wellness associates.

  • Responsible for implementation of national and local regulatory safety policies for all Wellness services.

  • Works in collaboration with physicians, therapists and other clinical staff with Wellness member referrals.

  • Responsible for tracking and measurement of Wellness member satisfaction

  • Responsible for the continuous development, implementation, evaluation and revision of Wellness curricula in all areas of health promotion, fitness, prevention and wellness.

  • Acts as a resource, visionary and planner for Wellness and Medical Center wellness and health promotion services.

  • Oversees all Wellness membership programs, wellness class scheduling and massage therapy services.

  • Responsible for providing competent instructors and staff by securing speakers, contract instructors and hospital associates.Develop and coordinate training of instructors.

  • Oversees the yearly class schedule in advance so as to secure rooms andinstructors.

  • Responsible for promotion of wellness programming.

  • Continuous evaluation and revision of services based on feedback from Wellness Center customers, community, system and hospital associates.

  • Responsible for updating equipment, policies and procedures for Wellness Center based on regulatory requirements.

  • Responsible for Community Wellness and Associate Wellness financial and forecasting

  • Develop and manage the annual Wellness budgets; allocating resources to appropriate projects.

  • Works collaboratively with community resources to provide needed programs for the community that are effective and financially viable.

  • Responsible for creating classes and hiring instructors for Wellness that have positive financial impact while meeting the needs of the community we serve.

  • Responsible for seeing that the yearly reviews are completed for all Wellness Center associates.

  • Support the Mission, Vision and Values of Advent Health.Always leading in a manner exemplifying the Values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship).

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and business information.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • 5 Years of Position-Related Experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association

  • WELCOA Certification
