Since 2023, Philips Avent has been leading an innovative Go-To-Market model in the Greater China area through a unique partnership with an exclusive distribution partner for the Avent core portfolio. Our goal is to achieve significant business growth with a model specifically designed to meet the needs of our consumers in Greater China. We are progressing well and exceeding our targets which is the justification for team expansion. As part of our team, you will be positioned within the commercial triangle that includes the Business Unit Mother & Childcare / Women’s Health (based in Amsterdam, Netherlands) and our partner company in Shanghai. In this international role and customer facing role, you will support business operations and drive both commercial activities and operational execution to achieve our ambitious business goals. Reporting to the Commercial Director for Greater China (Business Unit), you will need to collaborate with stakeholders locally and globally, focusing on maximizing value in the Greater China market, where you will be based.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all marketing & activation activities to achieve business plan objectives, in collaboration with the Partner and BU. This includes, but is not limited to, innovation launches, campaigns, activations & promotions, POS/trade marketing, flagship stores, direct-to-consumer initiatives, and peak sales periods.

  • Portfolio management: Establish and recommend the appropriate portfolio, support phase-out/phase-in processes, gather data, conduct Portfolio Health activities, and coordinate/support the China artwork process and delivery

  • Sales enablement : Support all activities aiding the sales teams and operations, including launch toolkits, training, activations & promotions.

  • Commercial policy: Assist in executing the commercial strategy and policy, including price setting and management, monitoring and reporting. Lead rebate management and support the development of an annual promotional calendar with relevant conditions.

  • Consumer care : Ensure the Partner's compliance with Philips standards, orchestrate consumer care activities, including organizing trainings and data sharing.

  • Sales & Operations Planning: Collaborate with the Partner on demand planning with our shared services center in China, maintain a rolling forecast in line with demand (short to long term), support the Partner with forecasting, purchasing, selling, and stock management processes and standards, and maintain healthy stock levels.

  • Collate and analyse the data and combine it with locally relevant insights to make recommendations aimed at maximizing the value extraction.

  • General support: Provide general support to the partnership and BU team, including operational support and training for the Partner.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.

  • 3-5 yrs working experience is required.

  • International experience, ideally working experience within a matrix organization.

  • Ideal candidate has relevant work experience in the baby consumables industry, or substantial experience in marketing, brand management, or business development in FMCG or durable consumer goods. Experience with indirect channels is highly valued.

  • In-depth understanding of retail market dynamics, including product promotions, trade marketing, shopper marketing activations, product launches, and marketing communications to drive business results and growth.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and independently in (virtual) international teams. Flexible, pragmatic, and a collaborative team player. A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, and resilience.

  • Growth mindset with a strong desire to achieve and help deliver on our business plan. Eager to transform strategy into tangible value through tactical and operational support.

  • Fluency in English and simple Chinese, both written and spoken.

  • This role is based in Shanghai, China.
