Job Accountability

-Lead a cross-functional team of representatives of the different functions. Ensure that the appropriate functional expertise is leveraged to develop and execute project plans working with project team and key stakeholders. Clarify the roles and responsibilities of team members to minimize disruption in deliverables.

-Manage project(s) according to plan, target product profile, budget and timelines. Oversee the execution of agreed upon functional programs. Assess technical and project risks, developing and validating risk mitigation and backup plans. Ensures effective alliance / third party management as appropriate.

-Ensure full transparency on project within and outside the project team. Provide timely reporting within project reporting systems or to governance bodies. Manage project stakeholders. Highlight and escalate risks and issues to governing bodies.

-Be a team player contributing to the performance of the species groups. Share experience with the other members of the group and understand relationships between projects. Be a force of proposition of new ideas for the species portfolio. Challenge yourself and your project as well as the others.

-Contribute to building a network of KOLs, experts and collaborators to ensure that we have access to leading expertise and new opportunities in the field, ahead of competition, and that BI is the preferred partner in your segment.

Job Requirements:

-Veterinary or Biological Degree: Master or above

-Approximately 6-10 years experience.

-In-depth understanding of vaccinology, product development, licensure and industrialization. Experience in project management, as well as the demonstration of delivery of products into the marketplace.

-Understanding of the species segment: market structure, methods of production, major diseases and their impacts, current solutions and unmet needs, key competitors. The area of knowledge may be more focused on broiler, breeder, layer segments depending on the portfolio priorities but ducks and turkeys could be part of the portfolio.

-Strong Interpersonal skills requisite to lead the project team interactions are essential to guarantee cohesion in technical direction of the Project Team.

-Very strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills are essential to ensure effective performance and collaboration with all areas and levels in the organization.

-The combination of education and experience must demonstrate a scientific orientation, and the ability to think and act strategically.

-Excellent analytical skills (problem structuring and problem solving)are essential.

-Positive attitude with proven ability to motivate others to perform their best is a great asset.

-Sense of priority, urgency and ability to make and communicate difficult decisions is requested.

-Flexibility, adaptability and sense of accountability a must.

-A willingness to travel internationally 2 to 4 times a year for global programs if needed.
