This role is field personnel. As a Failure Analysis Engineer at Oculus, you will play an important role for determining rapid root cause analysis for issues occurred in new product development and reliability test. Required Skills:

Failure Analysis Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Define failure analysis action plan and perform detailed root cause analysis on technically complex failures from reliability test and NPI

2. Cross-correlate data from various techniques to drive towards conclusions

3. Prepare clear, logic and professional failure analysis report to help root cause finding

4. On-the-ground support at manufacturing partners sites

5. Work with external partner labs to supplement lab capability when necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Master degree or higher in physics, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related field, PhD is preferred

7. 2+ years experience in failure analysis, material characterization, or product development

8. Hands-on work in one or multiple FA tools, including x-ray imaging (2D X-ray/CT Scan), microscopy, SEM, FTIR, sample preparation, XPS, etc.

9. Passion to learn new skills and experience

10. This position can have up to 30% domestic/international travel to external labs/manufacturing partner/US headquarter
