Job Description
Local Data Steward is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's data assets to ensure the accuracy, consistency and completeness of the data, and is responsible for coordinating globally defined processes, guidelines, and responsibilities to manage, access and use data in accordance with policies and regulatory obligations. This position requires coordination with Global BTS and Global Data Steward to define and implement data management policies and processes, liaise with local data vendors, manage master data changes, and support business decisions and operations.
POC for business end user in relation to Customer MDM, BS MDM, Product MDM and (possibly in future) Market Definition
Support (issue and request management) for MDM
POC Customer MDM Data Service Team communications: MDM Data subscriptions and local changes to Customer MDM Data structures (where Customer MDM Data applies)
Manage affiliate customer MDM data in Reltio (create and maintain Self Managed Contacts, subscribe Customer MDM data from Reltio data tenant, resolve DCR, resolve potential matches, care of CRM-MDM customer sync, take care of the DQ flags set up in Reltio)
Manage affiliate Business Structure MDM (create and maintain BS entities and relations according to IFT organization)
Manage affiliate Product MDM data in Reltio (Match with global products and meet the use of various business scenarios)
Receive all established guidelines and protocols that govern the Foundry data to ensure that controls are enforced in all processes with Legal/Privacy, Compliance and BTS
Ensure compliance with local policies and regulations as residency and privacy restrictions
Take care of document retention, archival, and disposal requirements of data sources
Identify need of a TPA
Care to manage TPAs and liaise with all parties involved to get business need satisfied but still according to compliance
Care to renew expiring TPAs if needed
Data governance: Provided that master data defines the standards of data ensuring higher quality, Local Data Steward has ownership of data in MDM, either related to customers, (local) product or business structures: adopting, localizing and mapping globally defined reference data, managing subscriptions to external data providers and handling related relationship, caring quality of external data and internal data (merges, consistency, DCRs, support tickets).Monitor the implementation of data governance policies and conduct regular reviews and updates.Ensure that data complies with relevant laws and regulations and internal company policies
Data Ingestion: Local Data Steward oversee the life cycle of datasets that are ingested in Foundry. Specifically, data stewards are responsible for aligning policies and procedures for the day-to-day operational and administrative management of systems and data - including the intake, storage, processing, and transmission of data to internal and external systems. The Data Ingestion Form (DIF) is central to this area of responsibility.Develop and maintain data quality indicators and generate data quality reports on a regular basis.Monitor and analyze data quality issues, propose improvement plans and track implementation.
Data access: Data Steward ensures assignment of accesses and privileges appropriately in compliance with existing policies, agreements with data providers, individuals’ roles and access risk.
Together with the specific data asset Owner, DS cares of submitting the Data Ingestion Form to certify that data are aligned with legal, privacy, compliance commitments
Qualifications
+ + Bachelor’s degree or above. Specialization in computer science, information management, data science or related field.
Fluent English in both written and oral must.
3 years+ experience in Master Data Management. Understand data management practices, including data lifecycle management, data quality management, and data governance.
Excellent communication skills and learning capability. Able to connect with various stakeholders and translate complex data-related issues into simple, easy-to-understand terms.
Overview knowledge of data related ecosystem in the Pharma industry will be preferred. Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple systems and databases.
Problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve data-related issues and develop effective strategies for data management.
