Job Description Summary

All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Response customer technical inquiries on CFM56-3/5B/7B series engines, mainly focus on line maintenance, controls and engine systems questions

  • Lead and support fleet events investigation and complicated fleet issue solving by horizontal leadership with engine systems domain knowledge and system thinking

  • Deliver customer technical communication to ensure customer fully understand fleet issues solving status, containment plan, final fix resolution, support customer maintenance and fulfill customer satisfaction

  • Support maintaining fleet reliability and stability by collaborating with PSE hardware owners and Life Cycle Engineers

  • Support Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) Manual maturation

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English

  • Bachelor’s degree or plus in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university

  • 3 years of experience in turbofan engine engineering position

Desired Characteristics

  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft engine hardware design, analysis, testing or integration is highly desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Ability to plan, execute and document programs with process orientation approach

  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong teamwork skills or experience in a teaming environment

  • Ability to guide and influence others

  • Ability to work independently, especially under tight deadlines

  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
