This position is responsible for procurement high-quality materials at competitive prices and ensuring an efficient and cost-effective supply chain flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of market dynamics, and a strategic mindset to optimize procurement and supply planning processes. In addition, a person employed in this position will support Service Sourcing and Material Planning team members in operational and daily work, support data gathering etc.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Heavy Cranes (HC) spare parts business support. EO implementation for specific project related to HC machines.
Support sourcing related activities like supplier negotiations and business review meeting from QDC point of view.
Take an active part in escalation process for delivery escalation and order follow up.
Proactively follow purchase order backlog and delivery dates.
Serve as backup to Sourcing Specialist if out of office.
Owning responsibility, and performance for Sales Force case handling.
Work to transform and improve supply planning in accordance to supply strategy by setting up solutions for automation and transparent planning with suppliers, including forecasting, data management, business to business (EDI etc), supplier inventory management etc
Proactive ERP-planning by managing data like lead times and order quantities related to Chinese suppliers and CDC operations.
Implement automation and transparent planning solutions with suppliers, including forecasting, data management, and business-to-business tools (e.g., EDI).
Contribute to defining supply requirements and establishing logistic agreements with suppliers.
Prepare purchase requisitions and place purchase orders within approved limits.
Proactively monitor and follow up on purchase order (PO) placement and delivery dates to ensure timely material availability.
Serve as a material planner by managing the flow of materials and ensuring alignment with CDC needs and stock levels.
Maintain daily communication with suppliers.
Ensure delivery control by monitoring purchased material, managing stock levels, and keeping stakeholders informed of any necessary adjustments.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
Monthly reporting on agreed KPI´s: Availability, Delivery accuracy, Backorder list and other.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education
Commercial, Logistics or Technical - Bachelor's degree will be an advantage.
Economic or Sourcing background will be an advantage.
Experience
- At least 1 years of experience in Purchasing or Material planning.
Competencies
Personality: Service-minded, customer-centric and proactive in communication towards the country organization (organize, lead, create follow-ups and memos).
Able to deal with challenging internal customers, and challenging conversations with high exposure to the FLU (perseverance and focus on finding the best solutions for the customer).
Able to fulfil multiple assignments with a high level of independence.
Analytical and target-oriented.
Global mindset, excellent communication skills and through various platforms email, phone, SF, hangouts.
System knowledge: SAP, QLIKVIEW, Salesforce, Google platform (sheets), Excel.
Fluent in English.
