Amazon Business Analyst, Global Mile Finance in Shanghai, China

Description

As a Business Analyst at AWF, you will be a strategic partner, leveraging data analysis and structured reporting to generate actionable intelligence and insights that drive continuous improvement. Combining your analytical prowess with a deep understanding of Amazon's operations, you will identify optimization opportunities and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and cost reduction across the network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance the existing Python-based planning model, ensuring it continues to meet the evolving business needs.

  • Write high-quality SQL code to retrieve, extract, and analyze data from various sources.

  • Design and maintain performance dashboards and reporting to provide real-time visibility into key business metrics and cost drivers

  • Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using data analysis and visualization techniques.

  • Analyze and solve business problems with a focus on understanding root causes and driving forward-looking opportunities.

  • Communicate complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing, by generating clear and concise reports and presentations.

  • Enable effective decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

  • 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
